Croc Rocket
Garage Headquarters: Harrison Township, MI
Driver: Jeff Kosmala
Mechanics: Matt Buchman, Mike Reardon, Pat Duncan, Brad Cooker
Nuts and Bolts:
A “disgruntled scientist” genetically modifies a crocodile, which immediately devours its creator. Having acquired a taste for human flesh, this super croc beats a path straight for Cincinnati, to feast upon the Queen City’s citizenry. A quick-thinking governor remembers a crack-team of crocodile specialists from an Animal Planet program, and enlists the services of Matt Buchman, Jeff Kosmala, Mike Reardon, Pat Duncan and Brad Crooker.
As team Croc Rocket’s action-packed YouTube video winds to a close, we see the teammates alternately leaping over mounds of dirt, lighting cigars with blowtorches and pulling each other by the hair. Hopefully these guys will have developed some cohesion before October 4. Team chemistry will need to flow at an all-time high if they’re to save us all from a mutant reptile while honoring the memory of the “Crocodile Hunter.”
Matt explains: “The inspiration for our racer is the late Steve Irwin.” World-famous wildlife expert Irwin died in 2006 after a stingray barb pierced his chest, but Matt and his mechanics will keep the man’s memory alive while preserving our hides. “We expect to win the crowd over by saving them from the killer croc,” says Matt. “If that doesn't impress them enough, then we will have to rely on our good looks and stylish vehicle.”
