Event Details

On October 25, Red Bull Soapbox Race will speed down Trading Post Road in Red Rocks Park, Colorado, with 40 teams of auto amateurs, engineering gear heads and just plain adrenaline junkies. Each team will race their homemade human-powered soapbox carts through this historic park outside Denver in a race against the clock in hopes of speedway stardom and a place in Red Bull Soapbox Race history.

Red Rocks Park may be where the Great Plains meets the Rocky Mountains, but Red Bull Soapbox Race is where the left side of the brain meets the right. While engineering prowess may get these carts down the track (steering and brakes are a must) it won't get you on the podium without some flair thrown into the mix.

Teams at Red Bull Soapbox Race are judged on three criteria: speed, creativity and showmanship. So don't be surprised if these carts don't resemble your typical soapboxes. Atlantic Puffins, Mexican wrestlers and a Canadian beaver have been seen screeching down the track.

Red Bull Soapbox Race is a FREE event. Gates open at 10am, first race at noon.
