Nuts and Bolts:

"We are going to win – crush the competition," declares a fierce Jorge Dominguez of his team's entry for Red Bull Soapbox Race in Providence. "We're not traveling all the way to the other side of the country from Los Angeles to end up in second or less!" Then he bursts into a laugh and says, "Just kidding! We're going to have a good time and just try to win."

With Israel Maldonado, Arturo Pantoja, Jose Dominguez, and Jason Therrien, Jorge will be traveling nearly 3,000 miles for the pleasure of driving a soapbox racer a few hundred yards. He lays out the team's structure: "Me and Jose are brothers," he begins. "Jason is married to our sister, so he is our brother-in-law. Arturo is a long-time friend from high school, and Israel is Arturo's cousin." They're a tight crew, and they've found a fun theme for their entry: cops and robbers. Jorge explains, "Our car will look like there's two cars, one chasing the other; but in reality it's just one vehicle." Noting that his teammates are stoked about the opportunity to participate, Jorge comments, "The race means good times, speed, creativity, and being part of what is becoming an American tradition."
