It should be no surprise that the shiny and spinning soapbox racing in Seattle will be the one from Miami. While the Lost in Miami crew admit to being far from their comfort zone ? “We don’t have a clue, really.” ? they plan to enjoy themselves and look good while visiting the other corner of America. They are planning a special, funky skit to accompany the launch of their aluminum craft and hope it doesn’t land them on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy at Seattle’s Grace Hospital. “We are going to win or die trying,” admits team captain Veronica Baracchi, a tri-lingual computer engineer and restaurant owner in Miami. Shhhush … don’t anyone tell them that fictional Grace Hospital is made-for-TV only.
